(Yicai Global) Dec. 2 -- Qualcomm’s latest high-end chip for Android handsets, the Snapdragon 888 with an integrated fifth-generation wireless modem, will power devices made by China's Xiaomi, OnePlus Technology, ZTE, and Vivo Communication Technology.

Handsets produced by Oppo Mobile Telecommunications, Realme, and Lenovo's Motorola Mobility will also carry the new chip, they said in separate statements after the California-headquartered semiconductor company released the technology yesterday.

Xiaomi Mi 11 will be one of the first phones to be equipped with the Snapdragon 888, the Beijing-based firm said today.

Oppo's flagship handset with the same chip will be rolled out by March 2021, it deemed.

Phones that carry Vivo's name or that of its sub-brand IQOO will also have the high-end chip, it said.
