(Yicai Global) Sep. 14 -- China’s mainland stock markets finished a tumultuous day by closing higher while fluctuations are expected to be here to stay, according to analysts.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.57 percent to 3,278.81. The Star Market 50 Index, or Star 50, was up 2.71 percent at 1,348.07.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 13,024.56, up 0.61 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, gained 1.42 percent to 2,572.60.
In the short-term, Chinese stock benchmarks are expected to remain volatile while a technical analysis would suggest that the relatively low SSE Index has room to rise higher, Shanxi Securities wrote in a recent report.
