(Yicai Global) Nov. 12 -- Chinese stock markets closed mixed today after the Shanghai benchmark crept up in afternoon trading.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.17 percent higher at 2,914.82, while the Shenzhen Component Index ended down 0.11 percent at 9,670.14. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth stocks, edged down 0.10 percent to 1671.44.

Construction and decorating firms topped gains with an average 1.5 percent rise, while augmented reality stocks slipped 1.3 percent to led losers.
