(Yicai Global) Oct. 15 -- Chinese mainland stock markets opened lower this morning as a consolidation mood gripped markets after yesterday's post trade talk rally.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.07 percent down at 3,005.66, while the Shenzhen Component Index started off 0.27 percent weaker at 9,759.95. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, began the day 0.19 percent lower at 1,676.24.

The market rally strongly yesterday inspired the expectation that China and the US will eventually solve their difference after the two sides made great progress in the latest round of high-level economic and trade talks concluded Oct. 11 in Washington.
