(Yicai Global) Sept. 8 -- The most active gold futures contract for December delivery, which trades on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), went up by 0.04 percent to CNY283.40 (USD44) per gram by 14.00 p.m. on Friday.
The price of the December gold futures contract jumped a total of 4 percent in two months although it is still lower than the 5.25 percent appreciation of the yuan against the dollar during the same period.
In addition, Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange touched one-year high on weakened dollar, triggering investors' demand for the precious metal.
