(Yicai Global) Aug. 7 -- China's logistics big data firm G7 Networks recently said that Ma Zheren, former vice president of Tencent Holdings Ltd. [HK:0700], will serve as its president.
Ma worked at Tencent for nine years, where he was responsible for corporate strategy, location services, autonomous driving and the group's car networking business.
After his appointment, Ma will be committed to accelerating upgrades to G7's product intelligence and Internet of Things technologies, building up excellent management and a top artificial intelligence team for G7, continuing to strengthen G7's research and development advantage, and accelerating its product and service innovation, Chinanews.com reported today.
"Tencent is the world's leading product innovation company," G7 co-founder and Chief Executive Zhai Xuehun said. "As Tencent's core representative, Ma's joining has extraordinary significance for G7. In the evolution of innovation in the Internet of Things, what we do is pure -- namely 'upgrading,' to continue to improve the currently offered products and services to create world-class intelligent products. To achieve this goal requires a world-class management and technical team. Combining G7's years of in-depth insight in the field of logistics and Ma's advanced thinking in product innovation, I believe that within a few years, G7 will advance to become an intelligent IoT firm with global influence."
