(Yicai Global) Nov. 14 -- Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., trading as Foxconn Technology Group [TWSE:2317], the world's largest electronics contract manufacturer and a key supplier for Apple Inc. [NASDAQ:AAPL], has signed an investment agreement with the Wisconsin State Economic Development Department for the construction of an LCD panel factory worth of tens of billions of dollars in the US state, Beijing Business Today reported yesterday.

Hon Hai chair Terry Gou hopes the project will be integrated into a local park development in Wisconsin that can promote US education, healthcare, entertainment, sports and smart communities in the future.

Gou and Wisconsin's state governor also signed a USD3 billion tax contract to give Foxconn tax incentives to build factories in the state, on that condition that Foxconn creates at least 13,000 jobs for the state within 15 years.
