(Yicai Global) Oct. 10 -- To prevent battery leakage in its smart door locks, Fujian Nanping Nanfu Battery Co. has introduced a specially-made battery named iDoor Master, which provides smart door makers with a power management system.
The new batteries have a number of advantages over others, and guarantee no leakage for at least ten years, Kuai Keji reported.
Battery leakage is particularly harmful for smart doors. Once the lock leaks, it may not only become damaged itself but could also become a risk for families. Nanfu has adopted three leak-proof technologies to combat the problem.
In order to ensure the protection from leaks, the company is testing its locks by opening and closing a smart door some 12,000 times to prove that the battery is durable and will not need to be changed so often.
As some cities get cold in harsh winter weather, the company has also tested its batteries in environments as low as -20 degrees Celsius to ensure they can operate normally at low temperatures.
