(Yicai Global) Dec. 27 -- Gosuncn Technology Group, a smart city Internet of Things product and services provider, is the exclusive supplier of smart-connected services and infrastructure installation to the ongoing Intelligent Connected Vehicle Driving Championship in Guangzhou, the firm said today. Its stock price jumped.

Gosuncn has furnished the championship with CNY5.3 million (USD757,000) worth of smart equipment, according to the contract it signed with organizer Guangzhou International Bio Island.

The tournament, which runs from Dec. 26 to Dec. 29, has attracted teams from domestic and overseas carmakers, tech firms and universities. Guangzhou-based Gosuncn has deployed vehicle-to-everything devices along the racing tracks, built 17 autonomous driving scenarios and has also designed and built the routes.

Its shares [SHE:300098] gained 3.15 percent today to close at CNY5.90 (USD0.86) each. The benchmark Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.7 percent.
