(Yicai Global) Oct. 18 -- Hwa Create Co. [SHE:300045], a Chinese firm engaged in the aerospace and military industry, has completed the first test flight of a domestic commercial aircraft installed with its satellite communication products, the company said in a press briefing yesterday.
The COMAC ARJ21-700 aircraft, equipped with China's independently developed BeiDou navigation satellite system, completed the flight at Dongying Shengli Airport in China's northern Shandong province.
Hwa Create provided the BeiDou RDSS (Radio Determination Satellite Service) short message terminals for the flight, successfully carrying out its intended communication and monitoring functions.
The test is the first application of the BeiDou navigation satellite system in the field of civil aviation, marking the integration and development of two major projects in China.
Hwa Create has focused on navigation technology for over ten years and is a pioneer of BeiDou's industrial development. The firm has developed a complete industrial chain spanning chips, terminals, antennas and location services.
