(Yicai Global) Nov. 5 -- State-of-the-art autos, including a USD3 million lightweight sports car and the world’s first hydrogen-powered, heavy-duty truck, stole the show on the first day of the China International Import Expo.

The world's first all-carbon fiber sports car, the Apollo Intensa Emozione, made its global debut at the expo. Manufactured by Germany’s Apollo Automobil, it only weighs 1.25 tons. Just ten cars will be produced.

The world’s first hydrogen-powered, heavy-duty truck to be mass produced commanded attention. The Xcient Fuel Cell, made by South Korea’s Hyundai Motor, has seven tanks that store up to 32kg of hydrogen, giving it a 400km range. The beast can pull up to 36 tons and only takes between 10 and 20 minutes to recharge.

France’s Michelin introduced its 3D-printed, airless, eco-friendly concept tires. By using 3D printing technology, various tread patterns can be created for different road conditions.

The world's first all-electric Mustang Mach-E sport utility vehicle was on display at US carmaker Ford Motor’s booth.
