(Yicai Global) April 4 -- Controversial Chinese entrepreneur Jia Yueting has introduced a new model from his electric car startup Faraday Future on Weibo, China's version of Twitter. The new energy vehicle is slated to hit the market by 2020.

Jia posted a photo of the V9 model, adding that its combines artificial intelligence, great network connection and luxurious interior space.

The post marked Jia's return to Weibo after a three-month hiatus. He remains in the US for now where has been laying low since a cash crisis hit his internet firm LeEco in 2017.

Faraday Future founded a new partnership with another Chinese internet firm The9 last month. The two parties will set up a 50-50 joint venture to make and sell the V9 in China, according to a previous report.
