(Yicai Global) Oct. 25 -- Knowledge-sharing platform Ql Chat raised an additional USD1.5 Million (CNY10 million) yuan from Tencent Holdings Ltd. [HK:0700] and its mass entrepreneurship platform after clinching additional financing in April for its A+ round, which it completed in February, jiemian.com reported today.

Ql Chat formed in March last year and its product Ql Chat Live is a WeChat-based voice teaching tool that features functions such as voice chat, photos, videos and question and answer.

As of October, it had over 150 million users, with over 1 million educational institutions and teachers registered, data show. The platform's total and monthly revenue surpassed CNY500 million and CNY40 million, respectively. Ql Chat now has nearly 15 million users who pay for knowledge.
