(Yicai Global) Sept. 7 -- Information technology firm Beijing Lanxun Technology Co. [SHE:300010] plans to invest CNY10 million (USD1.52 million) in Beijing Chuangshu Education Technology Development Co. with a focus on its education service.

The investment will be made in cash. After the injection, Lanxum will hold a 5.3-percent stake in the target firm, the investor said on Sept. 6.

Lanxum's main businesses are education and data security. Its education products include a regional education cloud platform for business users, a smart campus, a consulting service and online tutoring. Its 2017 interim financial statement shows it earned CNY681 million (USD103 million) in revenue in the first six months, up 36 percent on the year, while net profits climbed 16 percent to CNY34.9 million.

Chuangshu Education plans to use the money to boost its teaching services in K12, which covers kindergarten through grade 12. Lanxum hopes to boost its content resources and production line with Chuangshu's mathematics products, and use its own marketing and channel advantages to help the education platform improve the application of math, the statement said.

Chuangshu Education mainly provides mathematics learning services to senior high students in third- and fourth-tier cities.

Lanxum's statement said it also plans to increase input in artificial intelligence and Big Data and enhance industrial integration in the future.
