(Yicai Global) Sept. 25 -- Shenzhen Laidian Technology Co., based in China's southern Guangdong province, has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with travel platform 8Pig, a subsidiary of Shenzhen Bajie Tour Technology Co., to deploy smartphone charging stations in over 800 cities in 130 countries where 8Pig users are located, online media outlet Jiemian News reported on Sept. 25.

Laidian Technology provides free mobile charging services to mobile users through shared chargers. 8Pig, China's leading brand for shared tourism, promotes travel through the use of local tour guides providing local transport, interpretation and experience of local life.

The charging stations could be set up in local travel agencies or in travel company vehicles. The service can add value by catering to tourists' needs, said Huang Zhuosheng, 8Pig's chief executive.

"Shared mobile chargers take up little space and can be designed to be different sizes, depending on the circumstances," said Laidian Technology founder Yuan Bingsong. "They could even be used on a boat. Due to the long hours spent traveling and differences in electric equipment, the chargers will present new opportunities. 8Pig's rich user resources can help Laidian Technology expand its market rapidly around the world," 

Shenzhen Laidian, established in August 2014, engages in the research and development of smart mobile charging products integrated with high-end intelligent hardware and software.
