(Yicai Global) Oct.19 -- NetEase Inc.'s [NASDAQ:NTES] agricultural affiliate Weiyang said it has established its second pig farm in Gaoan in Jiangxi province.

Weiyang plans for the farm to be a world-class modern agricultural industrial park for sightseeing, smart farming and breeding, 36Kr reported.

The Gaoan pig farm covers an area of more than 544 acres, which is almost three times the size of the Anji pig farm in Zhejiang province. Weiyang expects the facility will enter production in the first half of next year, delivering 150,000 black pigs in its first year. The Gaoan farm's capacity will increase to 7.5 times more than that of the Anji pig farm, making the former China's biggest single-field black pig farm.

In 2009, NetEase founder Ding Lei said he intended to develop modern agriculture. Registered in 2011, Weiyang set up a pig farm project in Anji county, Huzhou city, Zhejiang province that year. Weiyang is focused on China's domestic black pig breeding market, establishing electronic identity information for each animal as well as researching and developing products to introduce new technology to the pig industry.
