(Yicai) Feb. 2 -- American payments provider Payoneer has expanded its global platform to better serve Chinese cross-border sellers, launching a new local receiving service in Indonesia and further upgrading its local receiving service in Mexico, the Shanghai Securities News reported today.

By strengthening its service capabilities in Mexico and Indonesia, Payoneer aims to better support Chinese merchants in entering high-growth markets and connecting seamlessly with demand across platforms, including Amazon Mexico, Walmart, Mercado Libre, and Shopee, said Cheng Dandan, president of Payoneer’s Chinese business.

Payoneer has partnered with local service providers to roll out the local receiving services in Mexico and Indonesia. The new offerings are built on the company’s existing local receiving infrastructure across North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region, enabling clients to tap new demand and expand operations along fast-growing trade corridors.

In addition, Payoneer recently co-hosted a dedicated summit in China with Latin American e-commerce giant Mercado Libre. Over the next three years, the company plans to focus on supporting 600 high-quality Chinese enterprises in entering the Latin American market, helping drive brand building and scaled development.

Founded in 2005, Payoneer is a New York-headquartered financial technology company specializing in cross-border payments and is listed on Nasdaq. The company received approval in February 2025 to acquire Yilian Payment and completed the equity change in April, obtaining a Chinese payment license and becoming the third foreign payment platform authorized to provide online payment services in China.
