(Yicai Global) Feb. 21 -- China's central bank has strengthened the Chinese yuan against the US dollar to the highest in three weeks.
The People's Bank of China lifted the yuan-dollar central parity rate 338 basis points to 6.7220, the firmest since Feb. 1.
The onshore spot exchange rate opened at 6.7200, 29 bips weaker than at the close yesterday. The offshore forex rate began trading today at 6.7186, after which it started to weaken.
