(Yicai Global) July 5 --  The People's Bank of China set the yuan's central parity rate versus the US dollar 8 basis points firmer to 6.8697 this morning.

The central parity rate is 4 points stronger than yesterday's closing price 6.8701.

The central bank's China Foreign Exchange Trade System fixes the benchmark rate each business day and spot rates may deviate 2 percent around that figure.
