PBOC Weakens Yuan to 6.8688 a Dollar, Lowest in Nearly Five Months

(Yicai Global) May 16 -- China's central bank has weakened the Chinese yuan versus US dollar by 39 basis points to 6.8688 today, the softest since December 27. The central parity rate between the yuan and the greenback is 80 bips stronger than yesterday's closing price.
