Yicai Global) Oct. 24 -- Power Construction Corp. of China [SHA:601669] will undertake an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project to build a fuel oil refinery in Sokhna, Egypt with a contract value of USD2 billion.

Power Construction Corp.'s wholly-owned subsidiary Sinohydro Corp. has already entered into the EPC contract with SRPC Engineering Pte. Ltd., an oil refinery and petrochemical company in Sokhna, Egypt. The period of the turnkey project is 44 months, the engineering and construction company announced yesterday.

The project comprises the design, procurement and construction of production facilities, a power plant, sulfur recovery plant, industrial gas plant, sewage treatment facility and other related infrastructure, the announcement added.
