 (Yicai Global) March 19 -- Shanghai added eight more countries to the list of key countries for epidemic prevention and control to further prevent and control the risk of imported COVID-19 cases, local authorities announced today.

Those newly listed countries refer to Australia, Malaysia, Greece, the Czech Republic, Finland, Qatar, Canada and Saudi Arabia, said the Shanghai municipal epidemic prevention and control headquarters.

The original list of high-risk countries includes the Republic of Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan, France, Spain, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark and Austria.

From March 20, all Chinese and foreigners who have traveled or lived in the above 24 countries within 14 days before entering Shanghai should be quarantined at designated places for 14 days.

Shanghai will continue to adjust the list of key countries in light of the global epidemic developments.
