(Yicai Global) April 28 -- Shanghai has detected two more imported Covid-19 cases as of yesterday, taking the city's total of confirmed cases to 644, the municipal health commission said this morning.

The new additions, both of them Chinese citizens who had been studying in the UK, traveled to Shanghai on April 24 and 25, according to the commission.

Authorities have traced 74 people who had been in contact with the students during their journeys and placed them under quarantine, the commission added.

Meanwhile, some 13 imported Covid-19 cases were released from hospitals yesterday after full recovery.

The commission logged no new domestically transmitted confirmed cases as of yesterday. It also reported no asymptomatic cases under observation.

Among the eastern city's total of 305 imported Covid-19 cases, 55 patients are being treated, one of them is in severe condition, and 250 have been discharged upon recovery, according to the public health agency. Four suspected cases, also involving people who have recently been overseas, are undergoing further tests.

Within the total of 339 local cases, seven have died, one is in critical condition, and 331 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals, the commission added.
