SHIBOR Rates Go Mostly Higher as PBOC Leaves Liquidity Untouched

(Yicai  Global) Aug.23 -- The Shanghai Interbank Offered Rates moved mostly higher today after the central bank kept the liquidity of the banking system balanced this morning.

The overnight SHIBOR leaped 4.20 basis points to 2.5860 percent, while the one-week rate climbed up 0.9 bip to 2.6510 percent. The SHIBOR for three-month loans was up 0.80 bip at 2.6900 percent. Only the two-week and one-year rate moved down from yesterday.
