(Yicai Global) May 31 -- Wind power sector leader Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has inked a CNY240 million (USD34.8 million) equipment contract with a unit of Chinese gear maker Miracle Automation Engineering.

Jiangsu FAW Foundry won the order for large apparatus, the parent company said in a statement yesterday. Deliveries will be made between this October and September next year. Payment will be in US dollars and euros.

Siemens Gamesa is a global leader in renewable energy. Its main business is in offshore and onshore wind power and related services. The Spain-based company has been doing businesses with FAW Foundry for many years. Similar orders amounted to CNY157 million last year, the statement said.

FAW Foundry was a subsidiary of major Chinese carmaker FAW Group until Miracle Automation became its controlling shareholder in 2009. It made the unit a wholly owned company in April the same year.
