(Yicai) Aug. 27 -- Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Lu Jing as the president, chief executive officer and vice chairman of its mainland China operations effective immediately, the UK lender said today.
Lu replaces Zhang Xiaolei who is moving to Hong Kong as global co-head of financial institutions coverage, the London-based bank said.
Lu has held several leadership roles since she joined Standard Chartered China in 2014, including the director of corporate and investment banking as well as vice president. Before that she served as a senior manager at several large Chinese and foreign banks.
The continued opening-up of China and the long-term development prospects of the Chinese economy will continue to bring great opportunities for foreign financial institutions, Lu said.
Standard Chartered will give full play to its unique advantages as a super connector, of its customer-centered approach, and provide high-quality and innovative financial products, services and solutions for customers in China, into China, and from China to the world, Lu said.
