(Yicai Global) Sept. 21 -- Tencent Holdings Ltd.'s [HK:0700] Tencent Cloud formed strategic partnerships with Wonders Information Co. [SHE:300168] and others to quickly expand the application of its platform.

Tencent Cloud made deals with China Mobile Communications Corporation Jiangsu Co. and Shenzhen Holpe Commercial Chain Co. to cooperate in areas such as smart city building and retail at the 2017 Tencent Cloud Summit today in Shanghai, Cs.com.cn reported.

Tencent Cloud linked up with Didi Chuxing and Beijing Mobike Technology Co. to help them access users and expand cloud services to several mobility-related industries.

Tencent Cloud also signed a cooperation agreement with Shanghai's state-owned energy firm Shenergy Group Co. [SHA:600642] to help the latter to build a big-data energy operation system to predict gas and power usage for resource allocation purposes.

The industry aims to capitalize on technologies to process data and deliver new value through digital upgrades, and Tencent will leverage big data and artificial intelligence to help companies accelerate their digital transformation, said Tencent Cloud President Qiu Yuepeng.
