(Yicai Global) Nov. 6 -- Chinese internet giant Tencent Holdings will work with DHC Software to provide cloud computing and smart city solutions for an industry zone in Xi'an, capital of the country's central Shaanxi province.
DHC signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement with Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone and Tencent Cloud Computing, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement.
The three parties will set up a regional base for cloud computing in XHTZ, providing local internet entrepreneurs with low-risk, low-cost services, the statement said.
Tencent Cloud will also cooperate with DHC on building a Super City Brain platform for XHTZ, integrating urban service portals based on internet technology platforms such as WeChat and Tencent Cloud. This will boost WeChat public account operations for local government agencies and provide various online financial services.
The two will jointly export and sell digital services such as artificial intelligence-assisted solutions, WeChat mini-programs for lifestyle and government services, as well as smart tech for construction and real estate in countries along the Belt and Road.
Shanghai based-affiliate Tencent Technology holds a 24.7 percent stake in Donghua Chengxin Computer Technology Development, DHC's largest shareholder at 20.3 percent.
XHTZ and Tencent Cloud will also jointly hold the League of Legends city-level eSports event next year in Xi'an.
