(Yicai) Nov. 28 -- Tesla has increased the price of its Model Y Long Range All-Wheel-Drive vehicles in China by another CNY2,000 (USD279) in the US electric car startup’s third such markup on the model this month, following a complete upgrade of the Model Y series in October.

The Model Y Long Range now costs CNY306,400 (USD42,826), the Chinese arm of the California-based firm said on its website today. The carmaker previously raised the price by CNY2,000 on Nov. 21 and by CNY2,500 on Nov. 9.

The entire Model Y lineup completed an evolutionary upgrade on Oct. 1, The Paper reported earlier this month. It now boasts interior multi-color ambient lighting, high-tech fabric materials on the dashboard and front doors and a 19-inch Gemini wheel design.

The latest round of price hikes began on Oct. 27 when Tesla said it was raising the price of the Model Y Performance by CNY14,000 (USD1,956) and that prices increases on other versions of the Model Y would follow.

The price of the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive went up CNY2,500 on Nov. 14 to CNY266,400 (USD37,353), that of the Model 3 Real-Wheel Drive by CNY1,500 to CNY261,400 the same day and that of the Model 3 Long Range by CNY1,500 to CNY297,400 on Nov. 9.
