Shanghai Launches China’s First Reliable Transport and Mobility Data Space(Yicai) Nov. 26 -- Shanghai has launched what it calls China’s first reliable industry-level data space for the transport and mobility sectors, with the aim of providing an efficient and convenient one-stop data solution for ecosystem participants.
Known as the Shanghai Trustworthy Data Ecosystem Platform for Mobility Services, it was launched yesterday by state-owned Shanghai Data Group and Shanghai Suishenxing Intelligent Transportation Technology at a sub-forum of the fifth Global Data Ecosystem Conference held in the city.
The platform will help data providers identify data application scenarios while ensuring compliance, and the high-quality datasets it aggregates can quickly respond to user needs, markedly cutting the time and cost involved in finding and collaborating on data, the two companies pointed out.
In addition, by uploading and certifying key information of the entire transaction process on the blockchain, the platform has complete traceability and verification capabilities that can effectively protect the rights and interests of all parties and improve the credibility and efficiency of data flow, they noted.
The ecosystem connects many authoritative institutions and leading companies in areas such as transport operations, urban construction, tech research and development, and academic research.
The first batch of partners includes industry leaders, top tech firms, and prominent scientific research institutes, the two companies noted, adding that the platform's major advantages in professionalism, breadth of coverage, and in industry-university-research collaboration can inject strong momentum into its sustainable development.
