(Yicai Global) Oct. 10 -- Meiweishenghuo, or How-Living, an unmanned retail platform operated by Tianjin Liangjian Technology Co., has obtained CNY30 million (USD4.53 million) in A-round financing led by venture capital fund Matrix Partners and several internet and venture companies, online media outlet 36Kr reported yesterday.

The Chinese startup supplies integrated unmanned retailing solutions and independently operates multiple self-service sales machines for fruits and snacks.

How-Living has installed machines in thousands of locations in ten cities across China with a focus on offices.

The firm's founders are mainly comprised of former managers from Beijing Sankuai Online Technology Co.'s Meituan-Dianping, China's biggest group deal platform and leading food delivery firm. How-Living's chief executive is Zhou Xianju, former southeast regional manager at the takeout giant.

Zhou joined Meituan's early venture team in 2014 and established How-Living in January this year. The company previously gained USD1.51 million in angel investment in May.

Shen Peng, joint founder of Meituan Waimai, will serve as a management consultant at How-Living after the funding round.
