(Yicai) Nov. 25 -- American private equity giant Warburg Pincus has acquired Topcast, Asia Pacific’s largest independent distributor of civil aviation parts, in a move that expands its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets.

The New York–based private equity firm announced the deal today, without disclosing the size of the stake or the transaction value.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Hong Kong, Topcast supplies aircraft parts and consumables, buyer-furnished equipment, original equipment manufacturer services, and repair and maintenance support across Asia Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas.

Warburg Pincus manages more than USD85 billion in assets and has over 215 active portfolio companies globally.
