Press Conference: Partnership for Sustainable Transportation

Start at 11 p.m. (GMT+8)

(Yicai Global) Jan. 22 -- A press conference on the issue of partnership for sustainable transportation will be held at World Economic Forum on Jan. 22.

The City of Davos, through a public-private partnership that includes ABB and the local utility, has adopted an electric-vehicle infrastructure, powered by clean, renewable energy.

An e-bus will be able to run continuously through town and between conference venues. Similarly, the many electric cars that will be transporting attendees around Davos will be able to recharge to 80 percent battery capacity in as little as 12 minutes at eight newly installed fast-charging stations. The press conference will be followed by a demonstration of the e-bus in the village of Davos.

Speakers:

Alem Tedeneke, Ulrich Spiesshofer, Tarzisius Caviezel
