WeRide’s Physical AI Data Unit Jingshuo Raises Over USD10 Million at USD311 Million Valuation(Yicai) Oct. 29 -- Jingshuo has raised CNY70 million (USD10.5 million) in its first external fundraiser, valuing the physical artificial intelligence data and model infrastructure subsidiary of Chinese self-driving technology developer WeRide at CNY2.07 billion (USD311 million).
Vision Knight Capital, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, and Sirius Capital took part in the pre-Series A financing round, Guangzhou-based Jingshuo told Yicai today.
Jingshuo will use the new funding to expand its core research and development team, integrate its data platform, world model, and skill asset engine, and broaden the tasks and applications covered by its datasets, the firm noted.
Jingshuo’s products include Egok, a high-precision first-person data collection device, as well as large-scale data collection, datasets, and customized data services, all built on its in-house WorldEngine data and model platform and Genesis-Robotics generative world model.
The company works with dozens of foundation model and embodied AI companies and has more than 100 customers and ecosystem partners. It had unaudited revenue of about CNY187 million (USD27.8 million) last year.
Jingshuo has about CNY1 billion worth of orders in hand, including formal contracts and confirmed customer orders that have yet to be fulfilled or recognized as revenue, it told Yicai.
WeRide established Jingshuo in May 2024 to support its autonomous driving R&D and made it a self-operating subsidiary this year. Following this fundraiser, Guangzhou-based WeRide directly owns about 67.6 percent of Jingshuo, retaining control.
Jingshuo's Chief Executive Huo Da was WeRide's first employee. The unit has engineering and R&D teams in the United States, China, and Singapore.
