Yes. India will remain the fastest-growing major economy. Its GDP will surpass that of the UK and France in 2019 or 2020.

India has the world's largest young population, with 12 million people entering the labor market each year, low labor costs and a high proportion of skilled tech talent. 

These factors, plus the use of English as an official language, give India an edge in transnational cooperation. The country is starting to unleash these advantages gradually with the Bharatiya Janata Party easing regulation of the economy after it took power in 2014. Prime minister Narendra Modi is also highly likely to be re-elected in the general election next year.
