(Yicai Global) Dec. 8 -- A group of 21 companies from Wuhan Development Zone visited Shanghai on Dec. 6 to recruit 800 workers at a job fair at Fudan University and set up a talent work base as Wuhan looks to bring new blood to the city to form startups and boost employment.

The Shanghai Talent Workstation will build a database of professionals in key sectors to introduce domestic and foreign workers and resources to such areas as intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, medicine, education, agriculture, civil-military integration and cultural creativity. Next year, the workstation hopes to bring in between 10 and 20 high-level staff, said Wei Jianxin, project chief.

Wuhan Development Zone, in Central China's Hubei province, is home to a number of world-renowned enterprises, include Dongfeng Motor Corp. It has gathered more than 40,000 professional and technical staff and has set up workstations in the US, Germany and Australia. The region has brought in 11 academicians and cultivated more than 20 staff for China's 'Thousand Talents Program.' It accommodates more than 1,000 overseas workers and is home to the largest foreign population in Wuhan.
