Yuan Onshore Rate Falls to Lowest Level Against Dollar Since November

(Yicai Global) June 10 -- The onshore exchange rate of the Chinese yuan against the dollar fell as low as 6.9358 in morning trading, the lowest since last November. It fell more than 200 points since last Thursday. 

People's Bank of China Governor Yi Gang commented on the exchange rate and other issues on Friday, a holiday in the country. 

The PBOC strengthened the yuan's central parity rate against the dollar by 20 basis points to 6.8925 this morning, 236 bips stronger than the last market-based closing price on Thursday.
