(Yicai Global) May 9 -- China's yuan moved to its lowest value against the dollar since late January on the onshore current market this morning.

The yuan-dollar rate was 6.8078 as of 11.35 a.m. On the offshore market, the pair were trading at 6.8287, marking the yuan's weakest international rate since January.  A higher rate means a weaker yuan.

The China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS), the interbank trading and foreign exchange division under the central bank, set the yuan-dollar central parity rate at 6.7665 this morning, marking the weakest redback since Feb.14.

CFETS fixes the benchmark parity rate on the morning of each business day. Spot rates may deviate 2 percent above or below the figure.
