(Yicai Global) Nov. 20 -- The US carmaker General Motors Co. [NYSE:GM] (GM) and its China joint venture SAIC General Motors Corp. have designated Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co. [SHE:002126] (ZYM) to supply aluminum water air coolers for Chevrolets and Cadillacs they make.

ZYM has received the contract for designated suppliers from the two car companies, said the auto parts and cooler supplier in a statement on Nov. 17.

ZYM plans to mass-supply the product for five years starting from the end of 2021, with global sales expected to reach 2.64 million units during the period, the statement said.

ZYM's winning of GM's global procurement contract will have a significant impact on the company's efforts to further expand its presence in the passenger car market, it emphasized.
