WPS AI is Kingsoft Office's artificial intelligence office assistant based on large language models, which will start public beta in November 2023. At the conference, WPS AI demonstrated four new AI office assistants for individual users: AI writing assistant, AI reading assistant, AI data assistant, and AI design assistant.

In the view of Zhang Qingyuan, CEO of Kingsoft Office, in one year, a lot of changes have taken place in the domestic large-scale model track. Last year, WAIC, Kingsoft Office released the first version of its AI product strategy. This year, domestic model manufacturers have caught up with ChatGPT3.5 at the beginning of 2023 to the extent that they are now leading foreign models in many aspects.

Zhang Qingyuan said that Kingsoft Office has also developed from a single analysis AI capability to To C (personal side), To B (enterprise side), and To G (government affairs side). Among them, WPS AI Enterprise Edition consists of three cores: AI Hub (intelligent base), AI Docs (intelligent document library), and Copilot Pro (enterprise intelligent assistant). The 13B-level self-developed government affairs model Kingsoft Government Affairs Office Model 1.0 released this time is good at official document writing, and can write five types of official documents: notices, requests, speeches, circulars, and plans.

For the release of the government affairs model, Zhang Qingyuan said that in the past, everyone would think about whether there is a general large model that can solve all problems through hundreds of billions or even trillions of parameters in the future, but today, although the general large model will become more and more intelligent and become an AGI, it still faces many limitations in the process of use, such as the government office scene may involve the information innovation environment, and some customers have problems such as limited computing resources, privatized deployment, and inability to use public network services. In this context, the vertical model can meet the needs of specific application scenarios.

Previously, Kingsoft Office has been connected to mainstream head large models such as MiniMax, Zhipu AI, Wenxin Yiyan, SenseTime Ririxin, Tongyi Qianwen, etc., which is also the path chosen by many Internet platforms.

Chao Yuntong, assistant president of Kingsoft Office, told the first financial reporter that at the end of 2022, Kingsoft Office will be positioned as the application party of large model capabilities, and the capabilities of each large model manufacturer are different, some are good at semantic understanding, some are good at document expansion, abbreviation, and continuation, and some are good at code direction.

As for whether there will be a general large model in the future to provide functions that meet the needs of all users, Chao Yunyu believes that with the development of model technology, enterprises need to make various preparations for user experience and business needs.
