With the full exemption of the purchase tax for new energy vehicles set to expire at the end of this year, 17 Chinese NEV brands, including Li Auto, Nio, Chery Auto, Aito, Xiaomi, Zeekr, and SAIC Audi, have rolled out measures to cover the tax costs for customers who place lock-in orders before Dec. 31 but may get their new cars delivered next year.
