Pet Fresh, the pet food startup founded by Hou Yi, the co-founder of Alibaba’s grocery arm Freshippo, will close all 18 physical stores in Shanghai eight months after opening the first one, according to Chinese retail industry platform Linkshop.Com. Seven stores have already halted operations and the 11 others are running half-price sales.
