New Oriental founder Yu Minhong denied rumors today that his Antarctica cruise cost CNY1.5 million (USD208,000), saying that it actually was between CNY200,000 and CNY250,000 (USD28,140 and 35,170) and he plans to take some employees next winter. The controversy was sparked by an internal letter he issued during the trip to mark New Oriental’s 32nd anniversary.
