Xiaomi’s founder and CEO Lei Jun personally invested over HKD100 million (USD12.9 million) to purchase 2.6 million Xiaomi shares, raising his stake to 23.3%, according to an exchange filing yesterday. The Chinese electronics giant has repurchased shares worth over HKD2.3 billion (USD296 million) this year.
