China's Hainan province saw over 12.32 million visitors during the Chinese New Year holiday, up 29% from a year earlier, official data showed. Duty-free shopping sales surged 31% to CNY2.7 billion (USD395 million), with 325,000 shoppers buying over 1.99 million items.
