China achieved major innovation milestones last year, with breakthroughs in humanoid robots, AI and biotech. Total R&D investment topped CNY3.92 trillion (USD569 billion), accounting for 2.8% of the country's GDP, Science and Technology Minister Yin Hejun said today.
