A man in Henan province yesterday accompanied his 20-year-old daughter to the police to turn herself in after she allegedly embezzled CNY17 million (USD2.5 million) from the family business, local media reported. The funds, taken between July 2024 and November 2025, were spent on tipping livestreamers and buying blind boxes. The case is under investigation, but lawyers say she could face over 10 years in prison if convinced.
