For the first time ever, all of China’s top 10 passenger car models by retail sales in May were all new energy vehicles, according to data from ByteDance-backed Dongchedi. Geely Auto’s Xingyuan was the best-seller, followed by Tesla’s Model Y, Xiaomi’s SU7, Leapmotor’s A10, and Li Auto’s i6. In comparison, seven of the top 10 passenger car models were fossil fuel-powered in January.
