ByteDance is in talks to buy at least 50,000 AI chips from Shanghai-based Iluvatar CoreX to fuel its LLM inference workloads, insiders told Yicai. If the deal goes through, Iluvatar CoreX will join the TikTok owner's compute lineup, supplying high-volume inference, while Huawei handles cluster training and Cambricon focuses on vertical deployments.
