Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the US Federal Reserve, died at his home today at the age of 100 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease, according to a statement from his wife, Andrea Mitchell. Greenspan led the Fed for five terms under four US presidents, serving from 1987 to 2006.
